Growing in Christ is equivalent to the growth of a plant
Undergoing natural development on its own, it can't
To grow, the planted seed needs soil, water, sun, and power that's infinite By faith, humanity must surrender, abide, and adhere to the all-Omnipotent As the seed matures silently, nearly impossible to perceive Quietly the Holy Spirit works in us when God's grace is received As the plant blossoms bringing forth an assortment of hues A new heart is created within us bringing forth spiritual fruit As the flowers perfume their beauty and expire fragrance throughout the world Gentleness, humbleness, kindness, and love emit from every woman, man, boy, and girl To separate from the vine, the source of plant life will eventually wither and die Correspondingly, if we disconnect from Christ, our spiritual lives take a nose-dive Just as plant life needs its essential elements in order to survive Devotional time, Bible study, and daily prayer help the Christian life to thrive
